Ford's sales in China plunged 55% year on year in November to 52,434 units. YTD sales were off 35% at 695,028.

The Changan Ford operation sold 22,627 units last month, down 73%, and 389,299 YTD, 46% lower.

The Jiangling Motors commercial vehicle JV sold 23,440 units in November, down 10% while YTD volume slipped 8% to 241,402.

In better news, Lincoln sales rose 3% to 5,216 last month and also by 3% YTD to 49,586.

Sales of imported Ford brand models fell 10% to 1,151 in November and 15% to 14,741 YTD.

New vehicle sales in China continued to fall sharply in November, by 13.9% to 2.55m units from 2.7m a year earlier, according to the Association of Auto Manufacturers (CAAM). The decline makes it more likely that the world's biggest vehicle market could record an annual decline this year for the first time since 1990.
