Fisker has released a statement over recent reports that the company is preparing for a bankruptcy filing.
It comes as the Wall Street Journal reported details last week that restructuring advisers had been hired by the firm.
Fisker had previously addressed concerns about its “ability to continue” in its preliminary Q4 and full year 2023 results, posted earlier this year.
Responding to news of a possible bankruptcy filing, it said:
“As a matter of company policy, Fisker does not comment on market rumors and speculation. However, Fisker often works with outside advisors to help manage its business and assist in developing and executing strategies.
“Fisker is focused on raising additional capital and engaging in a strategic partnership with a large automaker.
