Production at Valmet Automotive, which assembles the Mercedes-Benz A-Class under contract at Uusikaupunki, rose from 7,600 units in 2013 to more than 45,000 units in 2014 with turnover exceeding EUR300m.
Employment has doubled from 850 to around 1,700 people plus another 350 agency workers.
Daimler and Valmet Automotive expect record production this year, beating the 47,000 cars built in 1992.
