Faurecia has donated 100,000 surgical masks to the Civil Hospitals of Colmar in Eastern France, an area particularly affected by the coronavirus, while Valeo has also made a similar gesture.
Faurecia decided to focus its support on Eastern France, where it operates several industrial and R&D sites.
“Given the current health situation in our country, Faurecia and all its employees wanted to show national solidarity and support the unprecedented efforts of hospital staff,” said Faurecia CEO, Patrick Koller.
Fellow French supplier, Valeo has also donated 30,000 FFP2/FFP3 masks to hospitals.
“As the Covid-19 coronavirus continues to progress in France, national solidarity is more necessary than ever,”added Valeo CEO, Jacques Aschenbroich.
“I believe coming to the aid of health care personnel and hospitals through this donation of 30,000 FFP2/FFP3 masks is one of Valeo’s priorities.”
