Faurecia is making an unspecified investment in GuardKnox, an Israeli automotive cybersecurity provider, to reinforce data security in connected cars.
Based in Israel, GuardKnox provide cyber defence, hardware and software, for connected and autonomous vehicles.
GuardKnox technology will enable Faurecia to propose end-to-end solutions integrated into the vehicle, securing software, data and cloud connectivity.
“The Israeli ecosystem is leading the innovation and the development of solutions in cybersecurity for the automotive market,” said Faurecia Security Technologies MD, Uri Pachter.
“We are pleased to invest in GuardKnox, an automotive cybersecurity start-up. Identified through our Tel Aviv technology platform, we strongly believe GuardKnox is the best partner to provide us a competitive advantage in securing user experiences in the Cockpit of the Future.”
The investment in GuardKnox is made by Faurecia Ventures, which advances Faurecia’s innovation strategy by identifying, incubating and investing in start-ups with relevant technologies for Sustainable Mobility and the Cockpit of the Future.
