Egyptian auto importer and assembler GB Auto has signed an agreement with Geely Automobile to build and distribute Geely passenger cars in selected high-growth markets across North Africa, starting with the launch of two models in Egypt in the second quarter of 2012; a small entry-level model and a mid-sized sedan.
GB Auto will begin CKD assembly of Geely models in the third quarter and will ultimately produce both four- and five-door models. GB Auto will support the Geely franchise with a new dealer network and aftersales services for existing Geely owners in Egypt.
