Eaton has acquired Switzerland-based Green Motion, a designer and manufacturer of EV charging hardware and related software.
“Energy transition around the world is rapidly gathering momentum and Eaton is well positioned to contribute to society and benefit from this important trend,” said Eaton Electrical Sector president and COO, Uday Yadav.
“Electric vehicle charging infrastructure is among the areas where we expect to see significant growth over the next decade. Green Motion’s proven charger designs and its power and billing management software are powerful additions to Eaton’s existing energy storage and power distribution offerings.”
Eaton’s 2020 revenues were US$17.9bn, with the supplier selling products to customers in more than 175 countries.
