Denso Corporation has entered negotiations for the sale of some internal combustion engine (ICE) parts operations to Niterra.

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was agreed during a directors meeting.

Under the MOU, Denso intends to transfer business operations related to oxygen sensors and air-fuel ratio sensors, to Niterra.

The companies will discuss the potential sale of domestic and international operations related to the development, manufacturing, and sales of such products.

A sale would only occur after approval by regulatory authorities.

Denso said this move would allow it to “accelerate the development of products for EVs in preparation for the full scale of electrification and the development of energy management systems”.
