Delphi has recorded third quarter revenue of US$4.3bn and net income of US$281m, while corresponding figures for the full year were US$16.7bn and US$1.2bn respectively.
“We finished 2016 strong, delivering another year of robust sales, margin expansion, and earnings growth with solid cash flow,” said Delphi president and CEO, Kevin Clark.
“Our strong organic growth and bookings demonstrate our portfolio of market-relevant advanced technologies is meeting changing industry needs.
“Delphi remains focused on delivering profitable growth and delivering on our commitments to shareholders again in 2017.”
Data from just-auto’s QUBE service shows Delphi rapidly moving ahead with its autonomous driving schedule and last August, the supplier confirmed a new partnership with Mobileye to jointly develop a complete SAE Level 4/5, fully automated vehicle solution, described as the first such turnkey system, with “the performance and functional safety required for rapid integration into diverse vehicle platforms for a range of customers worldwide.”
ey technologies from each company include Mobileye’s EyeQ 4/5 System on a Chip (SoC) with sensor signal processing, fusion, world view generation and Road Experience Management (REM) system (used for real time mapping and vehicle localization) and Delphi’s automated driving software algorithms from its recent Ottomatika acquisition, which include the Path and Motion Planning features, and the company’s Multi-Domain Controller (MDC) with the full camera, radar and LiDAR suite.
