Mercedes-Benz sold 133,752 vehicles to customers in February, up 11.2% year on year and a record for the month.

Record unit sales were achieved in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the NAFTA region. In February, Mercedes-Benz was the premium-market leader in Japan, Australia, Canada and Taiwan, and posted its highest monthly unit sales to date for both SUVs and compact cars.

The European market expanded by 14.5% in February, with 57,901 vehicles sold.

Sales in Asia-Pacific rose 18.2% to 44,918 units in February.

In NAFTA, sales increased by 0.4% to 26,852 vehicles.

Smart sales rose 20.6% to 10,015 in February with sales particularly strong in Great Britain and Spain.
