Skoda likely will add a small SUV based on the Yeti concept to its lineup, chairman Detlef Wittig told Automotive News Europe.
“The response has been so positive, I can’t imagine not taking it to the market,” said Wittig.
Skoda showed a pickup version of its Yeti concept car at the IAA. The Yeti debuted at the Geneva auto show in March.
The Yeti would be Skoda’s fifth model. It is scheduled for launch in 2009, say Skoda sources – after next year’s launch of another new Skoda model, the Roomster minivan.
