Czech News Digest says Skoda Auto will boost Superb production to 150 cars daily at the beginning of the second quarter of 2003.

The company reduced daily Superb output to 100 cars in September 2002, due to low sales but demand increased at the end of October 2002 and in November 2002.

Skoda will build between 17,000 and 20,000 Superbs in 2002 instead of the planned 25,000 – 30,000 cars and output will rise to 25,000 cars in 2003.

Skoda started selling the Superb in 36 countries this year.
