Skoda is expecting to sell 690,000 cars this year, up from 630,000 last year.

This represents an increase of 9.5%

Skoda board member Holger Kintscher told Reuters that the figure is slightly below the company’s original sales target of 700,000 units.

Skoda has cut back production in recent months in response to the global financial crisis. In September it cut output by 13,000 vehicles and in October by 18,000 units.
