Home market sales of Czech car maker Skoda Auto AS rose 9.2% in July to 6,559 units from 6,008 units a year earlier, the company said in a statement on Tuesday, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

The report noted the July sales figures contrasted with a 7% sales drop in the January to June period to 36,640 units from 39,401 units in the year-earlier period.

The company attributed the rebound in sales in July to the launch of its discounted financing plans, Dow Jones said.

Skoda Auto, a unit of Germany’s Volkswagen, had a market share of 52% in July, up from 47.7% at the end of June, the company said, according to Dow Jones.
