Combined passenger car and light utility vehicle registrations reached 85,469, the association said.
Growth in the period was led by light utility vehicles, which grew 32.76% to 22,960. However, this was offset by a 6.86% fall in passenger car registrations, to 62,509 units.
SDA figures showed that Skoda was the market leader with 41.08%. Renault held second position with a 6.55% share. Volkswagen with 6.38% and Hyundai with 5.47% followed.
