Continental has said it is supplying V-shaped displays to Hyundai for the Kona model line.
The display combines the two screens of the instrument cluster and infotainment display under one glass surface.
It has two flat high resolution display panels with a backlight and is covered with a curved glass.
The display extends from the driver’s area to the centre console but the radius and angle focus on the driver’s perspective. The company said this would provide a more comfortable view of the screens.
The Kona also gets over the air (OTA) software updates for new functions managed through the display.
