A new online service provider for the UK leasing industry is being well received by leasing players. Growth has been rapid and 150 repair outlets join the 1Link fleet maintenance provider network each week. The service is proving to be revolutionary in its sector – producing cost savings of up to 30% in some cases.


Just months after its launch, the 1Link Service Network can claim support from over half of the top 10 UK leasing players, including recent addition Lex Vehicle Leasing. With 150 repair outlets per week joining the online network of fleet maintenance providers, the service aims to provide an industry-wide common platform for online service, repair and maintenance information provision.


1Link provides directories of approved repair outlets and reporting, work booking, recording and billing facilities to enable lessors to streamline their accident management and fleet management processes for their customers.


The information and communication services can be accessed through any Internet connection with no requirement for additional hardware on the part of the lessor. At present, the service has the support of 15 vehicle manufacturers and around 5,000 service, maintenance and aftermarket outlets, which provides a large enough base to effectively deliver nationwide coverage for lessors and fleet customers.


The company behind the service, automotive software developer epyx, has expressed considerable delight over the success of the new service and at how widely the service has been taken up by the industry.
