Citroën UK says British electric vehicle infrastructure needs to develop in terms of reliability and coverage.

Speaking at a virtual press conference to unveil the automaker’s ‘Citroen Advance UK’ plan, the manufacturer stressed the need for public and private partnerships to boost demand for new mobility solutions.

Part of the drive comes with Citroen’s new model programme with the ë-Dispatch van, while the coming few months will see the continuation of the brand’s electric vehicle plan with the launch of New ë-C4 and ë- SpaceTourer passenger vehicles, as well as the ë-Relay large panel van.

“We need to see the infrastructure grow and improve in terms of reliability and coverage,” Citroen UK MD, Eurig Druce told just-auto via the video link. “We are confident the government understands that and we are confident that will come in public and private partnerships.

“We need slightly longer term views in terms of support for customers in terms of grants for example and how long they will go on for.”

The UK Citroen chief stressed the need to simplify its communication to customers as it looks to ramp up its British offer with 11 new model derivatives in 16 months.

The ‘Citroën Advance UK’ plan for the brand focuses on a number of areas in the British operation.
