Subaru Corporation has temporarily suspended production at factories in Japan "due to interruptions in deliveries of certain parts using semiconductors".
Operations at plants within its main Gunma Manufacturing Plant are temporarily suspended today (15 January) and tomorrow.
This affects the Main Plant and Yajima Plant producing vehicles and the powertrain factory Oizumi Plant.
"The impact on the Company's consolidated financial performance is yet to be determined," Subaru said in a statement.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and all other stakeholders."
