The number of automobiles sold by Toyota and its two Chinese JV partners – China FAW and Guangzhou Automobile – in March 2014 totalled 90,400 units, an increase of 19% from the same month in 2013, Ecns.cn reported.

Total sales for the January-March period increased 23.4% year on year to 227,900.

The March growth follows an 18.1% year on year increase in January and 43.1% year on year increase in February, according to Ecns.cn.

Toyota, which posted 917,500 in sales in China in 2013, looks to boost that number to over 1.1m in 2014.
