The model will be manufactured by Suzuki’s joint venture Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co.
Suzuki will also display the Alto at the upcoming international motor show in Shanghai starting on April 20.
Suzuki will be keen to launch the model as soon as possible in China, where small car sales are currently enjoying a boom stimulated by government measures introduced to boost the market.
