Škoda has launched the Fabia Jingrui into China’s AO-class market.

Shanghai Volkswagen Group general manager Liu Jian said: “The Fabia Jingrui is of very high quality. Boasting space and practicality, as well as a great price, the Fabia will offer a great experience for customers in the China market.”

The Fabia is sold in China with 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol engines and six-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox or five-speed manual.

Trim levels are called Zingzhi (base), Jingling (mid) and Jingxiang (automatic) and prices range from RMB81,900 to RMB117,900 ($US12,000-$17,200).

The Octavia Mingrui was the first model launched by SVW Škoda in June 2007. The company plans to add more models later.
