Rolls Royce is planning to open three new dealerships in China.
The company is taking this step following its record sales in China last year. It is planning to add new dealerships in the southern cities of Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Ningbo, according to Colin Kelly, regional director for Asia Pacific.
According to Kelly, ‘My suspicion is that this year China may become our No.2 market.’
Rolls Royce sales globally exceeded 1,000 units for the first time in 2007. China overtook Japan as RR’s third largest market in 2006 and could surpass the UK this year to take the number two spot.
