Vehicle production and sales in China in February was 1.2603m and 1.2670m respectively, down by 29.89% and 33.09% compared with January.
Top 10 automakers SAIC Motor, Dongfeng, Changan, FAW, BAW, Guangzhou Automobile, JAC, Brilliance Auto, Chery and Geely booked an aggregate sales volume of 1.0945m, accounting for 86% of the total vehicle sales, China Economic Net reported.

Affected by the long spring festival holiday, vehicle sales in February have always been low level but production and sales volume still rose 4.48% and 4.57% respectively year on year.
Production and sales of passengers vehicle in February was 969,300 and 967,200 respectively, decreasing 30.67% and 36.74% month on month but up 5.42% and 2.57% year on year.
Top 10 automakers SAIC-GM-Wuling, Shanghai-Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Chongqing Changan, Beijing Hyundai, Dongfeng-Nissan, Faw-Volkswagen, Chery, Dongfeng and FAW Toyota together sold 548,200 passenger vehicles for a 57% share.
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, export volume in February was 43,400, down 16.51% month on month and up 63.56% year on year. Passenger vehicle export volume was 25,600 down 6.16% month on month. Passenger vehicle export volume rose 96.48% year on year.
