Porsche expects its sales in China to grow in the upper double-digit percentage range this year, according to a company statement. The company is also expanding its Chinese retail and service network to meet sales growth plans.
In 2007, Porsche sold 4,179 units in mainland China’s market, almost doubling its sales over the previous year.
Currently sales volume in China accounts for 4% of the company’s total sales in the global market.
The company plans to boost the current 19 Porsche Centers in the country to 30 by the end of the year.
