Mercedes-Benz will recall over 127,000 vehicles in China for unspecified steering issues and potential fire risk, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
The recall of 127,071 cars will be announced on 13 March. These vehicles include 112,830 E-class, 14 imported E-class and 14,227 imported CLS-class models.
A strip on an insulating panel inside the car’s engine bay could fall off and come in contact with hot engine parts leading to a fire, The Financial Express said citing AFP.
Mercedes-Benz will also recall 705 units of the imported G-class for steering issues.
