The Jiangling Motors Ford joint venture started manufacturing Everest at its Nanchang plant in Jiangxi on 19 August.

The SUV is expected to be launched in October and will be priced in the range of CNY269,800 (US$42,111) to CNY369,800.

The company will offer the vehicle in seven trims and with two engine options – a 2.2T Duratorq TDCi and a 2.0T EcoBoost. Both the powertrains will be mated to a 6AT, while the diesel engine will also come with an optional 6MT.

Jiangling-Ford Everest is 4,892mm long, 1,862mm wide, and 1,837mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,850mm, ChinaAutoWeb reported.
