The Chinese car making joint venture between Denway Motors and Honda sold 23,066 cars in China in July, up 10.5% year-on-year, Honda told the Reuters news agency on Thursday.


Guangzhou Honda reportedly sold 12,460 Accord sedans, 7,572 smaller Fit [Jazz sedan] cars and 3,034 Odyssey multiple purpose vehicles [minivans] last month while, for the first seven months, sales were up 28% to 129,269 units.


Total July sales for Japan’s second largest auto maker, including those from its venture with Dongfeng Motor Corp, the mainland’s number three player, went up 13.2% to 25,494 vehicles, with sales for the year to July up 35.5% at 143,245 units, Reuters added.
