Guangzhou-Toyota has begun trial production of the Camry and will officially launch the model on 26 May, according to China Automotive Review.

The model will use 70% local content, of which 50% will come from the Pearl River Delta region.
Toyota plans to sell 50,000 Camrys in 2006.
