Sports utility vehicle maker Great Wall Automobile Holdings exported 10,162 vehicles in the first nine months of the year and hoped to send over 20,000 overseas this year, the Financial News said on Wednesday, according to Reuters.
The company, which also produces trucks, planned to set up a joint venture capable of producing 50,000 vehicles in Russia in December and planned more production facilities in Iran and Nigeria, the paper said. By 2007, Great Wall planned to have seven to eight such production facilities.
Reuters said Great Wall exports vehicles to more than 50 countries and regions, including Africa, the Middle East, South America and Russia.
