General Motors vehicle sales in China, along with those of its local joint-venture partners, rose 15.3% from a year earlier in September to their second-highest monthly sales total ever.
The company is on track to achieve sales of 2m vehicles in China in the 10 months to October, and a record year overall, GM China group president Kevin Wale said in a statement.
China vehicle sales reached 240,244 units in September, up 16.7% from August, the company said. January-September sales reached 1,892,862 vehicles, up 6.6% from a year earlier.
