Net profit at Chinese minivan maker Jiangling Motors increased 9.31% year on year in 2011 to CNY1.871bn.
According to the Xinhua news agency, citing a filing to the Shenzhen stock exchange, the operating revenues rose almost 11% to CNY17.457bn.
The automaker, which has a light commercial joint venture with Ford’s China unit, building the Transit line locally, sold 183,800 commercial vehicles in 2011, up 9% year on year, making it China’s sixth largest commercial vehicle manufacturer by sales, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
