Ford has shown off the five-door version of its upcoming redesigned Fiesta at the Beijing motor show.
Designed and developed in Europe for sale in Europe, Asia, South Africa, Australia and the Americas with launches between 2008 and 2010, the new Fiesta is the first major product of Ford’s new global product development process.
China production commences before the end of 2008 at the Changan Ford Mazda Automobile (CFMA) plant in Nanjing, China.
The $510m manufacturing facility commenced operations in September 2007 and has the flexibility and scalability to satisfy initial capacity of 160,000 vehicles per year.
