Ficosa has opened a new production facility in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province in China.

“The new factory in Shenyang is a decisive step in the company expansion plan in China, a key market in the growth strategy of the multinational,” said Ficosa CEO, Javier Pujol.

“Since its foundation, Ficosa China has registered annual growth rates of over 20% in its turnover and we expect to continue with this growth in the coming years”.

The Shenyang plant, which covers an area of 10,000 square meters, expandable to 17,000, is expected to employ around 400 people during the next four years.

The new facilities mainly produce rear-view mirrors as well as automatic changeover systems and parking brakes for clients such as BMW, Brilliance, Great Wall and BAIC.

Additionally, Ficosa has been chosen by BMW as its sole mirror supplier in China.
