The motor vehicle safety inspection centre of FAW-Volkswagen was officially put into service after completing its first crash test.

Located in Changchun city of Northeast China’s Jilin province, it is Volkswagen’s first vehicle safety centre in China, the Xinhua news agency reported.

Following an investment of CNY120m, the inspection centre is capable of all kinds of testing as required in the Chinese, European, and American standards and it is expected to help consolidate the automaker’s R&D capability in the coming years.
