In comments reported by the AsiaPort Daily News, Ren Yong, Manager of Fengshen Automobile Co., Ltd. (jointly established by Dongfeng Auto and Taiwan Yulong) said that the planned joint venture between Dongfeng and Nissan would be set up before the 16th conference of Communist Party began (this November).

However, the two partners have yet to agree on location – Hubei Xiangfan City or Guangzhou.

The report adds that Fengshen Auto’s Vice President Cai Wenrong told reporters that the output of Fengshen would reach 150,000 cars in the first phase. The goal of the second phase project by 2006 was 240,000 cars.
