Sales of Chinese-brand passenger vehicles reached 600,900 units in November, accounting for 45.46% of the country’s total passenger vehicle sales.
The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said China’s passenger vehicle sales rose 29.3% from a year earlier to 1.34m units last month, gasgoo.com reported.
Sales of own-brand passenger vehicles made by joint ventures with Japan, Germany, America, Korea and France were 250,100 units, 196,400 units, 142,000 units, 102,200 units and 40,000 units, accounting for 18.67%,14.66%, 10.60%, 7.63% and 2.99% of the total own-brand passenger vehicle sales, respectively.
Amid the sales figures of own-brand passenger vehicles in November, the Chinese-brand sedans’ sales were 292,500 units, accounting for 31.32% of total own-brand sedan sales.
Own-brand sedans made by joint ventures with Japan, Germany, America, Korea and France achieved 200,300 units, 181,200 units, 141,200 units, 78,800 units and 40,000 units in sales, accounting for 21.44%, 19.40%, 15.12%, 8.43% and 4.29% of the total sedan sales, respectively.
Japanese, Korean and French automakers all saw an increase in their market share in China compared to October.
