China’s Beiqi Foton Motor has said it will set up a US$240m joint venture to make engines with US firm Cummins, according to Reuters.

The 50-50 joint venture would make 2.8- and 3.8-litre diesel engines, Foton said in a statement in the official Shanghai Securities News.
