Though the three-way Changan-Ford-Mazda JV split is not yet official, Changan Ford has already started working on plans to increase its growth in China, a local media report said.

Though the three-way Changan-Ford-Mazda JV split is not yet official, Changan Ford has already started working on plans to increase its growth in China, a local media report said.

Martin Burela, CEO of Changan Ford, announced plans for a US$1.6bn fourth factory in Nanchang, Jiangxi, according to 21cbh.com. However, the site location is yet to be confirmed.

Ford’s production site in Chongqing is set to begin operations in 2012, while its engine and transmission factory should be completed by 2013.
