Dow Jones Chinese Financial Wire reports that BMW has said that it is opening its BMW Brilliance Automotive plant in Shenyang, China, on Thursday.
The new car factory is a 50-50 joint-venture between BMW and Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd. (CBA). The plant, which has received EUR450 million in investment, will produce 30,000 3-series and 5-series vehicles a year.
‘We want to dedicate our efforts to China in the long term,’ BMW Chief Executive Officer Helmut Panke said in a statement Thursday.
