BMW Brilliance head Eberhard Schrempt told Reuters on Wednesday (22 February) that he is confident that BMW will increase sales in China by 15% this year, and average a similar growth level in future years, fully using the joint venture’s capacity of 30,000 units by 2010.

BMW sold 23,595 cars in China in 2005, up over 50% year on year. 15,300 of those cars were built at the BMW Brilliance plant in Shenyang.

BMW is aiming to sell 150,000 cars a year in Asia by 2008.
