Toyota will launch a redesigned SUV line and two redesigned or new Scion models at the Chicago motor show next month.

The redesigned 2008 Highlander and a hybrid version will make their first public appearance in the US. The mid-size model is sold in other markets as the Kruger so this debut is of global interest. Toyota has provided no details of the newcomer other than their 2008 model year designation.

Also due at Chicago is a redesigned Scion xB and a new model called the xD. It’s not clear is the actual cars will appear – a virtual press conference has been scheduled to show computer-generated images.
