BYD has secured an order to deliver 22 fully-electric 12-metre eBuses in Germany.
With more than 50,000 fully electric buses and coaches delivered in the US, the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, and Spain, German public transport companies, Bogestra and HCR have now also selected the manufacturer.

The buses will arrive in the summer of 2020 and run in Bochum, Gelsenkirchen and Herne.
“Being able to travel from Weitmar to Riemke with zero emission is an important and first step in the right direction for climate protection,” said Bochum Mayor, Thomas Eiskirch.
BYD’s 12 metre eBuses can carry up to 80 passengers and have a single charge range of more than 200km with air conditioning.
“We are proud of this order, which demonstrates our capabilities in a market dominated by German brands,” said BYD Europe MD, Isbrand Ho.
“BYD’s efforts will make a strong contribution to reducing emissions and improving air quality.”
