BYD has shown the pure-electric BYD E-VALI, a 3.5t/4.25t light commercial vehicle (LCV) designed specifically for the European market to meet last-mile and parcel delivery services.
The company claims a substantial cargo capacity that surpasses many other vans in its class the BYD E-VALI is equipped with the latest ‘BYD Blade Battery technology’.
BYD also says the BYD E-VALI also comes with a high specification of ADAS equipment and a range of 220 to 250 km (depending on variant).
BYD also launched the BYD EYT 2.0 at IAA. It is described as a ‘robust pure-electric Yard Tractor’ for use in ports, at terminals and at distribution centres.
Michael Shu, Managing Director of BYD Europe, said: “BYD’s goal of cooling the earth by one degree is a vision that can only be achieved through a wide variety of applications. We’re delighted to show another part of this here at IAA, with a line-up of commercial vehicles, including new models that are tailored to Europe.
“We’re optimistic that the E-VALI and EYT 2.0 can make significant contributions to more sustainable solutions in areas as diverse as last-mile deliveries and major distribution hubs.”
