BYD said delivery to Keolis Nederland was Europe's largest ever single order for electric buses.

An initial 246 low-floor eBuses – part of a total order of 259 – are now with the operator and entered service on 13 December on a variety of routes in the IJssel-Vecht region. The remaining vehicles are scheduled for delivery and start of operation in spring 2021.

Keolis has calculated an annual CO2 reduction of over 15,755 tonnes.

The buses were built in Hungary.

The Keolis fleet is 12 metre (206 units) and 13 metre models. The 13-metre model has upgraded battery technology to provide extended range and city to city capability.

All have DC Combo 2 and pantograph charging capability. 

All vehicles are equipped with ambient lighting, USB charger ports and soundproof floor cover. The 13-metre models have seats with multimedia control, a reading light, phone holder and folding tray.

Birdseye cameras provide the driver with a 360 degree view of the bus and an electric driver's seat with memory card stores positions for multiple drivers.
