New vehicle sales in Brazil in October rose year on year, as credit increases continue to fuel sales, auto dealers association Fenabrave said.
Sales of cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses rose 2.94% to 303,108 units last month. On the other hand, sales declined 1.28% in September due to fewer working days.
For the first 10 months of the year, sales climbed 8.04% to 2.8m vehicles from 2.59m in the same period of 2009, Dow Jones reported.
Fiat was the market leader with a 21.89% share followed by Volkswagen (21.24%) and General Motors (19.44%).
