Brazilian truck sales and production will set new records this year.
Truck sales totaled 93,800 units in the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 33.7% on a year ago. In November, slightly more than 10,200 units were sold, an increase of 49.2% compared to the same month in 2006.
127,400 trucks were produced during the first 11 months of 2007, an increase of 30% over the same period of 2006. 13,100 trucks were produced in November, an increase of 39.4% compared to a year ago.
Exports continue to show a slight increase. In November, the industry shipped a total of 3,500 trucks abroad, which was up 4.4%.
