Toyota Motor will start manufacturing Etios sedan in Brazil by late 2012.
In August 2010, Toyota decided to construct a vehicle plant in Sorocaba, Brazil. This plant is expected to produce the Etios small vehicle already introduced in India with an annual production capacity of 70,000 units.

The model was originally developed for the Indian market and was launched last December. The Liva hatchback version followed in June.
But, according to local officials, serving the Indian market remains a priority ahead of exports.
