Sales of cars, light trucks and buses in Brazil rose in November, rebounding after two straight months of declines, as dealers sought to reduce inventories from three-year highs.

The country’s car dealers’ association Fenabrave reported that sales climbed 8.4% month on month to 328,418 vehicles in November and were up 30% over the same month a year ago.

Vehicle inventories in Brazil have risen to the highest since 2007 after sales fell in October and September, prompting some dealers to offer discounts and promotions.

An increase in the availability of vehicle finance in Brazil has also made the country a top market for Korean, Japanese and French automakers as well as established players such as Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen and Fiat.
