The Brazilian operation of Renault SA has recalled about 7,000 vehicles after discovering that a faulty fuel line part could cause the engine to catch fire, Dow Jones reported.
The problem was discovered in two-litre Scenic minivan models built in 2001 and 2002 as well as two-litre Laguna models assembled between 1999 and 2001, the report said.
Renault, which said in a statement that the defect hasn’t caused any accidents, will replace the faulty part for owners of the Scenic and Laguna models, Dow Jones said.
